Introduction

Everyone who has an Izele account has a personal page. This is where you can edit your personal details and see information about the pages and species you like and places you have visited. If you want, you can also make your page public, so that others can see your News feed tab, Map tab, Species tab and About tab (but not your Settings tab, which shows your personal details).

You can customise your Personal page by editing the following sections of your page:

Banner and profile pictures

When Izele creates your Personal page the banner picture will be blank and your profile picture will be a randomly assigned animal. To changes these images follow the steps on the Adding banner and profile pictures help page.

News feed tab

This tab appears on every Personal page and shows the posts from the pages you have liked. If your news feed is empty then you need to like some pages by following the steps on the Liking a page help page.

Map tab

The Map tab is not automatically added to your Personal page, which is why it is initially shown as a paler colour. Click on the Add this tab to the page button and a map will appear showing all the places with Izele pages that you have visited, based on whether you have clicked on their visited icon (for help on this, visit the Showing you have visited a place help page).

Species tab

The Species tab is not automatically added to your Personal page, which is why it is initially shown as a paler colour. Click on the Add this tab to the page button and a blank tab will appear containing the Add/remove species button. Click on the button to produce a list of species that you have seen by typing in the species name and then clicking on its name in the dropdown menu. You can also click on the Show picture icon next to the name of each species so that its photo will appear at the tab of your Species tab.

About tab

The About tab appears on every Personal page and automatically shows the places you have visited, the pages you like and the people you follow. In addition, it gives you the option to add details about yourself (such as your contact details and text about yourself) and countries you are interested in. To edit the information click on the edit icon .

Edit your details

This tab lets you update the details you provided when you first registered, ie your first name, last name, date of birth and gender. It also lets you specify the country that you live in and your location.

At the top of the tab is the checkbox that lets you Make your page visible to the public. If you click this on then everyone will be able to see your Personal page and the News feed, Map, Species and About tabs. This is a great way to share information about yourself and your work.
