Creating a new page

Introduction

In Izele you can create pages for your conservation organisation, which can be a conservation area, group or business, or your conservation project (see the Izele pages overview help page for more details).

Starting the process

  1. Once you have logged in, go to the menu in the top right of the screen Home menu icon.png and select + Create a new page.

Step 1: Choose a page type

  1. You have the option to create an Organisation page or a Project page. Select one of them, and if you choose “Organisation page” then select one or more of the organisation types (conservation area, group or business).
  2. Click on the Next button.

Step 2: Choose a name for your page

  1. In the Organisation/Project name box type your organisation’s/project’s name. As you type, Izele will show you similar names that are already included in Izele (either because they have a page or a page has listed them as a partner).
  2. If your organisation/project name is not listed then click on the Continue button.
  3. If your organisation/project name is listed, then click on it and you will get one of two options: (A) If the name is used by an existing page you will get the message “This name has already been taken, if you would like to register a page with a similar name, we suggest adding the country you work in”. Follow the instructions by modifying your name so it is still recognisable but not identical to the existing name. (B) If the name is listed as a partner by another page, you will get the message “An Izele page with this name does not exist, but it has been listed as a partner, funder or related organisation by an existing Izele page. If you are responsible for this organisation you can claim it here”. If that is your organisation/project then click the checkbox saying “I want to claim this organisation/project.”
  4. If your organisation/project also uses an acronym or initials then add the details in the Organisation acronym box.
  5. Click on the Next button.

Step 3: Describe your page

  1. In the Organisation/Project type to appear on your page box, give a short description that will make it easy for people to understand what your organisation/project does.
  2. If you have an existing website, add the full address in the Organisation/Project web address box.
  3. Add at least one country in the Countries your organisation/projects works in box. At present this is limited to Eswatini, Mozambique and South Africa, as well as International.
  4. The Location(s) your organisation/project works in box will now appear. You now have the option to specify the provinces or regions in which you work.
  5. Click on the Next button.

Step 4: Add details to your page

  1. Use the checkbox to provide details on whether your organisation/project is open for visitors.
  2. Use the checkbox to provide details on whether your organisation/project has a membership scheme.
  3. Use the checkbox to provide details on whether your organisation/project sells products or services.
  4. Click on the Next button.

Step 5: Terms and conditions

  1. Ensure you are happy with the Terms by following the link and reading them.
  2. Once you have read the terms for creating a page, click on the Check this box to acknowledge your agreement with the above checkbox.
  3. Then click on the Create your page button.
  4. You should now see a message that your page has been created and giving a link to its location. Congratulations - you have created a page!
