Sarah Humphrys is a conservationist with a background in marketing and public engagement. She studied at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, where she received a Distinction for her MSc in Conservation and Rural Development in 2019. As part of this she carried out fieldwork in Madagascar focusing on customary institutions and conservation, building on her previous work in Ecuador’s tropical rainforest. Before moving to nature conservation, Sarah worked in the arts sector, gaining communications and marketing experience with a number of arts venues across the UK. She also has 3 years’ experience as the Social Media Manager for a UK wellbeing charity, and as a member of the Public Engagement Team for the annual Archaeological Project at Berkeley Castle, Somerset.
