Introduction

The Species tab is optional and can appear on personal, organisation and project pages. On personal pages it shows the species you have seen. On organisation and project pages, for conservation areas it shows the species found there, for conservation groups, businesses and projects it shows the associated species. This tab also lets you show photos of the species that are most important to you, your organisation or your project.

At present, Izele only contains information on mammals, birds and a few species from other taxa, so please contact us through support@izele.org if you would like a missing species added.

Add a Species tab to your page

1. Log in to Izele and go to the page that you manage.
2. Click on the Species tab
3. Click on the Add this tab to the page button.

Remove the Species tab from your page

1. Log in to Izele and go to the page that you manage.
2. Click on the Species tab
3. Click on the Remove this tab from the page button.

Add species to the Species tab/Mark as species as Notable

1. Log in to Izele and go to the page that you manage.
2. Click on the Species tab
3. Click on the Add/remove species button and the Add/remove species dialog box will appear.
4. In the Search for a species… input box start typing the name of the species you want to add. As you type the name, Izele will suggest species based on what is included in the species database (ie all mammals and birds and some fish). Click on the species you want to add.
5. The name of the species should now appear below the input box. To specify that you want your Species tab to include a photo of the species at the top, click on the button in the Show picture column.
6. Repeat the process until you have added all the species you want to add and all the species you want to mark as Notable.

Remove species from the Species tab/Remove their photo

1. Log in to Izele and go to the page that you manage.
2. Click on the Species tab
3. Click on the Add/remove species button and the Add/remove species dialog button will appear.
4. To remove a species, click on the X button by its name.
5. To remove the photo of the species in the Species tab, click on the green star button to change it to grey.
