Adding a post to a news feed

Introduction

Izele is designed so that people can post comments on the news feed of different pages, together with the page’s social media posts.

Check whether posting is permitted

Izele is designed so page managers have complete control over their pages. In some cases they may decide to disable comments to their news feed or to only allow page managers to post comments. If that is the case, you will see a message in the comment box at the top of the News feed tab saying “Posting is disabled for this page - page managers can change this in the organisation settings.”

Adding a post

To add a post you need to be registered and to log in.

  1. Go to the top of the News feed tab and click in the comment box, where it says “Add a post”.
  2. Type your text into the text box, including weblinks.
  3. Click on the Add post button and it will give you the option to post as yourself or as any page you manage.
  4. The post will appear, together with options for other people to like or comment on your post.

Removing and reporting posts

You can remove your post by clicking on the down arrow icon in the right hand corner of the comment box and selecting “Remove post”.
If you see a post written by someone else that you think is inappropriate, click on the down arrow icon in the right hand corner of the comment box and selecting “Report post”.
