The Klipriver-Suikerboschrand Conservancy was established on the 1 March 2003 and covers 2949,86 ha. Classified as a rural conservancy.
Most of the area in the conservancy has been recognised as irreplaceable sites by GDARD Conservancy Plan 2. It borders the Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve and has 2 rivers running through it, namely the Klip River and the Riet Spruit.
