The Grassland Stewardship Alliance (GSA) (NGO Reg.095-125) is the Management Authority according to NEM:PAA of the Crocodile River Reserve (CRR), which was proclaimed as a Nature Reserve and Protected Environment in 2019. The CRR is located in Tshwane, South Africa, and covers an area declared in Gauteng as Critical Biodiversity Area and hosts a huge variety of biodiversity elements and heritage . The GSA as the custodian of around 3500 Ha made up of more than 100 private properties, provides guidance to landowners on nature conservation. It has also a series of awareness and educational programmes on environment and is launching programmes for the socioeconomic development of the nearby communities. Environmental education of children at school and in the reserve is imperative for young people to carry the banner of conservation into the future.
